Gold Exchange Near You

Have you got unwanted or broken plain gold jewellery sitting in a drawer somewhere? Don't let it go to waste. Bring it into any H.Samuel store and our trained team will appraise it for you, then you can put the value straight towards a brand new piece you'll love.

Whether it's a forgotten necklace, a mismatched earring, or a ring that's seen better days, if it's gold, we want to take a look.

How Does Gold Exchange Work?

It's a simple three-step process:

  • We identify your gold

We'll use a hallmark or stamp to confirm the metal. If there's no hallmark present, we can carry out an acid test. Just ask a team member, who will walk you through the process and a short consent form before getting started. All acid testing is carried out by a trained member of our team.

  • We weigh and appraise it

Once identified, your gold is carefully weighed, and an exchange value is attributed to each item based on gold carat and weight. Our team will talk you through the appraisal, so you know exactly what you're getting and why.

  • You choose something new

We'll present you with an offer for your gold. If you're happy to proceed, for the best value redeem your gold directly against a new purchase in store and enjoy a higher exchange value!

If you'd rather take some time to decide, you can choose to receive the value on a gift card, which is available at a lower exchange value. Whatever you decide, our team will be on hand to help you browse and find something you'll treasure.

Available in H.Samuel stores across the UK. Please note: Gold Exchange is not currently available at Bullring, Coventry, Cameron Toll, or Outlet stores.
