Extremely fine gold chain. Only just visible on the neck which is what I wanted. Despite being fine it is still pretty strong. I bought it to hold a St Christopher and it does no problem. I wear it 24/7 and it has not broken despite a couple of snags. Don't buy it if you want something substantial as this isn't. It is however stronger than it looks as the links are very tiny and close together.
As a fuller lady with a plump neck, this chain fits fine. I’ve added a pendant and it dangles perfectly. Ideal for teen or adult. I purchased this to replace my wedding chain which I wore daily and was 3 times the price, and guess what? It’s practically exactly the same. I’m a loyal H Samuel customer so I know decent jewellery when I see it. Yes it’s delicate and dainty but so was my wedding chain and I got 4 years wear. This would make a lovely gift and the box is presentable, so no need to purchase a posh box unless you want it to appear more luxurious but it’s really not necessary. I’m 100% happy with this chain. For the price you can’t grumble and the recipient will assume it cost more anyway, so it’s a win win.
