This product has a vintage look. I was bought this ring set for xmas and love it. I have no problems at all with my set. Yes white gold has to be recoated but it is no problem having it done at your jewellers. I don't know why people have given this ring set bad reviews as nobody seems to have put a bad review on the bigger carat version of the same ring set which is still 9ct white gold too. I do have 18ct white gold rings and yes the white gold does last longer. You should research the gold you are buying before you buy as long as you know about white gold you will be fine with this set. 22 January 2013
