With the typical ‘Will you marry me?’ now most likely to happen at home, with that in mind here are H.Samuel we wanted to suggest out top 10 ways you could propose in the comfort of your own home!

Ring in a Box

1. Send your unsuspecting fiancé-to-be on a treasure hunt that ends with your proposal. Start with a clue in a room of the house (a handwritten note or text message) and lead them on a tour around the house, each room with a different clue, they then find you on one knee with ring in hand!

Heart in a Jigsaw

2. Bring all your memories together with this proposal! Tie a red ribbon from one spot in your home to another. Attach little notes recalling perfect moments in your relationship along the way. Wait for your partner at the end of the ribbon with the perfect engagement ring.

3. Why not invite your friends and family for a party at the house and have everyone put on a T-shirts with the phrase, "Will you marry me?"! This way all everyone gets to see your loved one’s reaction.

4. So your stuck at home on a rainy day or at just relaxing on that lazy Sunday morning, why not suggest to complete a Jigsaw to pass the time. However… Have a custom jigsaw puzzle made with the words "Marry me?" once it’s completed it's time to propose! (you could also have a look on Etsy.com for custom board games to play instead).

5. There is always the romantic meal at home, but you could put a twist on this by placing the ring within their favourite sweets? For example place the ring in a Kinder Egg, and when they open it up drop on one knee!

Lights and Trees

6. Have a tree in the garden and its Autumn? Why not rake the leaves in to the words to spell out your proposal? Romantic and a perfect picture opportunity for Instagram!

7. Another garden inspired proposal is the use of fairy lights! Use outdoor lights to write out, "Will you marry me?" in the garden. Wait for your partner to come home, and switch on the lights, this way you can watch their face light up.

8. Why not propose outside? Have an evening picnic, and to relax under the stars! (ideally in the summer when it is warmer!) This way you can propose under the night sky, very romantic!

9. For the gamers out there, why not invest in a game that once they have completed ends in a marriage proposal or speak to the game developers and see if they will help you out!

10. Another idea for around the home and if you are wanting to propose on February 14th is to place Valentine’s Day Cards all-round the house with cute little messages, on the days leading up to Valentine’s Day. Then on the big day, present them with the ring!

Of course you will need the perfect engagement ring to go with the proposal, shop out engagement rings here.
