Electronic Watch Movements
As with the mechanical watches, electronic movement comes in a variety of forms.
Quartz and electronic watches: Electronic watches basically have no moving parts. They are driven by an electric charge which makes a little bit of quartz vibrate at a set frequency for a long time. The quartz drives the movement and keeps very good time. Most modern electronic movements use something called a piezolectronic effect on a tiny quartz crystal to make it vibrate, which in turn drives the mechanism and allows the watch to keep extremely consistent time.
At H.Samuel we feature a range of electronic or quartz watches including Sekonda, Rotary, Accurist, Ben Sherman and DKNY amongst many others.
